Lake Havasu City, Arizona - We're going green.  Well, actually we've been environmentally conscience the entire time - it's just now we're gaining some benefits and recognition for it.  Active.com, your favorite race registration facilitator and your guide to an Active planet, is encouraging events (like ours) to clean up their act and they'll reward them for doing so.

In a recent conversation with our Active representative, she pointed out that we probably already meet the criteria, she forwarded the requirements, and sure enough, we easily meet them. 

Now, for clarification.  We're all for saving the world; and we're especially into keeping our community clean.  Clean from trash and clean from pollution, and knowing we're minimizing our overall carbon footprint on the planet is just frosting on the cake.

Coming into our next event (2010) we'll be making some improvements to even be better - and each year we'll continue improving.  If you have your own eco-friendly ideas you would like to see implemented in our events please share them on Facebook.  We (along with other participants) would love to hear them so we can consider implementing them!
